Hello, my name is***** and thanks for your question.

Has the technician verified ground driver signal from the powertrain control module to the lockup solenoid?

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
do not know trans re-builder had ford dealership tech scan car with ford factory tool, said everything o k? lock up worked perfectly when car dropped off @ trans shop. lockup will not work above 45mph, purchased car new, garage kept, shes a cherry, love car, want to keep. the trans rebuild cost more than book value of car. 78-80 mph ck engine light comes on, code P1744/ torque converter system performance or mechanically stuck off. @ 70mph rpm should be appx 2100 its appx 2600 now, no lockup.

how about an answer, car @ trans shop i am out working, otherwise i would call. can trans tech call?
Expert:  Kenny Z. replied 10 days ago.

OK thanks, ***** ***** going to be the next piece of information I need, whether or not signal present at trans bulkhead connector for tcc solenoid. This will require a scanner that can command the solenoid on/off so that it can be monitored at the bulkhead connector with a meter.
