Hi my name is ***** ***** am here to assist you.

My first thought is did they use the specified oil.

The incorrect oil will cause this problem.

Have you got blue smoke from the exhaust.

Customer: replied 7 days ago.
I purchased the vehicle with 23,000 miles
I used the recommended 5/20 .
Do not observe any smoke when veh. first starts up or while running.
Current mileage 68,000.
Oil changed every 3,000 miles. I have other Ford's in our company.
Exhaust pipe clean and dry.

Hi

There are two reasons for using excessive oil, valve stem oil seals gone hard or piston rings sticking.

You can put an oil additive in to see if they soften stem seals or free off piston rings.
