Customer Question

f150 Heritage model (2004) has crank but no start issues and dies while driving. There are times the fuel pump engages and other times it does not engage. Wasn't sure if it had a fuel pump driver module like other models
JA: Have you ever replaced the fuel pump, or is this the original?
Customer: original
JA: Are you fixing your Heritage yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Battery is good, alternator is good, and the other day I could hear the pump engage but not this morning
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: It cranks like it wants to start but nothing.

Hello yes it uses a fuel pump driver module and they are known to crack and cause issues running. Inpsect it near the spare tire mount on the drivers side of the frame. If it looks damaged replace it.
