Hello, a stall when coming to a stop can be caused by a torque convertor that isnt unlocking. That would be something to do with the torque convertor clutch solenoid. SInce the trans is a rebuilt CD4E I would hope they replaced the torque convertor itself. A worn convertor can do the same thing. You can check the operation of the check engine light just by turning the key to on. Regardless a check for codes with scan tool should be done. Both a Key on Engine Off and a Key on Engine running test will tell if there are other issues causing this concern.
