I have a 2004 explorer 4.0 and my heat isn't that hot and my engine temp gauge is only a quarter up what could this be? I have replace the thermostat recently.

If you warm the engine up and with the heater running and go out under the hood and place you hands on both heater hoses are both hoses getting nice and hot?
