Customer Question

I replaced two coil packs on my 2011 ford f150 eco boost and now it wont start
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: Yes, and it tries to turn over
JA: Are you fixing your F150 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes, just the coil packs so far.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: The orginal problem was my truck sputtering when I tried to accelerate. The check engine light came on and the code was for two of the cylinders. I replaced the coil packs for those cylinders, hoping that was the problem and now it wont start up

check your battery ,do you have battery load tester?

is the starter giving out ,it should turn over if battery and starter is good ,unless alarm is triggered and you will see flashing light on dash

I got a new battery, because the old one was not holding a charge. The truck still wont start. It started once and then died quickly. It turns over, but wont start

if the battery is draining down it could be short in one of the modules

battery cables from battery to starter needs inspected for loose or corrosion

Battery Drainage Test

1- Voltmeter
2- settings on voltmeter will be on milli amps.
3- go across all the fuses in the car and see which one is reading higher than 0.3 to 0.5 milli amps
4- the fuse drawing more than 0.5 miili amps ,will be the suspected circuit that needs inspection for the drainage.
