If you put in the key then turn the key to the run position without going to start. Let me know what the theft light does?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Theft light goes off. After turning the key all the way, and getting no response, the light begins to flash every 2 seconds or so.

Do you hear any click from the starter or starter relay in fuse box when going to the crank position?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
one click.
Expert:  Jaybird61 replied 6 months ago.

From the starter on the engine?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Sounded more like a click from the dashboard.
Expert:  Jaybird61 replied 6 months ago.

Okay. You will need to have the power to the starter checked. Do you have a volt meter and are you going to be doing the tests?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I do have a volt meter, and can do the test.
Expert:  Jaybird61 replied 6 months ago.

You will need to test the starter relay for sending voltage down to the starter small terminal when someone turns the key.

I don't have anybody with me to help. Can we suspend until later?

I am on the East coast and my day ended 4 hours ago. I am going to opt out so an expert on the West coast can help you.

Hello Eddie here, Just to confirm, the theft light does not blink with they key ON correct? Also, take the gear stick and move it from Park to L gear back to Park a few times and then try it in neutral, and tell me if attempting to crank it in neutral helps at all. Thank you.
