Customer Question

tail lights stay on even after shutting down and turning the headlights off
JA: Have you checked the bulbs? Have you checked the connection?
Customer: the tail lights are staying on thus bulbs look good. wondering why they wont go off when turning off the lights and turning off the ignition and leaving the truck
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: F150 2008: super cab 6.5' box
JA: Are you fixing your F150 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: just showed up at a remote ferry terminal at Hollis Alaska. I left the truck at the parking lot Nov 14. battery was dead. got a jump and started. currently charging battery. but when shutting off the tail lights stay on. this is the first time this has happened
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I have had the truck 4 years. this is the first time this has happened. I tow a lot of boat trailers. wondering if something may have happened in the trailer elec connection?
