JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: 2009/ F250
JA: Are you fixing your F250 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just happened on the way home from work, in the process of investigating possible issues. have not done anything yet, besides tow it home
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: the "cleaning exhaust filter" message appeared twice today, thats not normal
JA: How many miles are on the car? How has your mileage been lately?
Customer: 139k miles, fuel milage normal

Do you have a scan tool to see which codes are stored?

Without a diagnostic tool, figuring this out timely and costly will be hard.

Here is what crank no start diag on this vehicle looks like.

Based on the stall and prior double regen. My best guess is a failure of the exhaust gas temp sensor or its wiring near the diesel particulate filter.
