well its a 86 ford ranger 2.0 l, and my air breather is filling up with a water oil mixture. what is causing it?
JA: When was your last oil change?

This problem could definitely be caused by a malfunctioning PCV valve. I would suggest that you replace the PCV valve (a fairly easy and straightforward job), clean up the air breather and take it for a test drive.
