My 2001 Ford Taurus leaked tranmission oil and no one found where the leak was coming from .after putting 2 Qu. in ,I was able to drive 4 miles and it stop again it did not move forward or backward. I waited a few minutes and it turn over moving forward and backward. I was able to get it home and back it up in my driveway.
JA: Have you ever replaced the gaskets? Maybe the hoses?
Customer: NO. i had a mechanic look at it for days and they could not find the problem.
JA: Are you fixing your Taurus yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: SOME ONE SAID IT MIGHT BE A VENT HOES CLOGGED AND NEED TO BE REPLACE
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: i had the car towed over 100 miles to NJ Transmission oil leaked from the passenger side under the car

Hello, if your transmission fluid level is low enough the vehicle won't go in forward or reverse. I would have the leak repaired and have the transmission fluid filled to proper level. This will correct your transmission concern
