Customer Question

My friend told me it was my battery. So I cleaned the terminals checked the water levels and the voltage does seem a bit low at 9 volts. Thing of it is that just before I did all that the car started just fine, so I shut it off and tried again and got nothing, all the dash lights come on but it won't start, not a click or anything else that would jump out and say it's the battery or the starter. I think it might be the ignition switch. What do you think?
JA: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: Dash lights all work & no I haven't checked the fuses yet because of the intermittent starting.
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: 2002
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Well Can I refer you back to the first statement cause that is what I have done so far.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no
