We have a 1997 Ford 150 truck which starts and immediately

Customer Question

Hi. We have a 1997 Ford 150 truck which starts and immediately cuts out. It will not run for any length of time.
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: Yes. The battery is fine.
JA: What is the make/model of your car?
Customer: 1997 Ford F150 4.2L Truck--automatic
JA: Are you fixing your F150 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: We're fixing it ourselves. The vehicle has good fuel pressure, good compression, spark plugs are good.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: That's all we have.

Does the engine remain running if you press on the accelerator pedal?

Have you checked for codes in the computer or the fuel pressure?
