Have you checked for codes in the computer?

Can I start by getting your VIN?

Thank you!

Thank you for that information. Have you tried another ignition key?

You might just have a bad key.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I only have one key
Expert:  AMEDEE replied 10 months ago.

Ok, no problem.

Provided the ignition key is OK, then the problem is likley to be a bad PATS transiever (ring around key) or a wiring issue to the PATS security system. However, it is possible that the key itself may just be at fault.

You can get it scanned for codes and there will likley be a code stored in the computer related to the security system which will lead you in the right direction. We usually see a bad key or PATS transiever causing this problem.

Scan the key or the truck??
Expert:  AMEDEE replied 10 months ago.

The computer on board the truck

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Ok thanks what does ring around the key mean??
Expert:  AMEDEE replied 10 months ago.

The ring around the lock cylinder on the steering column is the PATS transiever which could be bad causing this no crank condition.
