Customer Question

Have an 05 6.0 and I'm getting a tbc fault
JA: What is the model of your '05 Ford?
Customer: 6.0 powerstroke
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I would like to fix myself if I can. Right now it won't start. I was reading up and they said there's a reset button
JA: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Customer: No corrosion, batteries are only 1 year old
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not really

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner past midnight.

We are only permitted to help diagnose and fix one issue per question. Do you want me to help on the TBC or no start?

Is there a reset button ?
Expert:  Chris (aka- Moose) replied 12 months ago.

There is not a reset button.

Do you have a scan tool to see which codes are stored?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
Yeah and the only code that came up was the TBC.
Expert:  Chris (aka- Moose) replied 12 months ago.

There should of been a code like the ones in the file below shown on your scan tool

Hello again Chris here,

  • Sorry you were not pleased with my help.
  • What would you like to do regarding your question now.
  • This post is coming up on the 7 day mark where it times out. When a post times out, that means it's no longer on my active list (you reply and I may never know it.)

Thanks Chris
