Customer Question

Acquired the specified harness. have not installed yet. I've had the buzz for a long time but now I'm having trouble making boost. It comes and goes. Sometimes full throttle gives full boost. Others I can't get over 8 psi under full throttle. Also affecting downshifts. Going to replace harness today and hope it's not some other component. Is there a control valve as well?
JA: How many miles are on the car? Have you noticed any leaks lately?
Customer: 75000. No leaks. It's all vacuum trouble for sure.
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: 2012 f250 6.7 L turbo
JA: What year is your Turbo?
Customer: same as the truck
JA: Are you fixing your Turbo yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It's the wastegate control valve harness. I'm going to replace it and hope it works
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I'm going to follow what this article said to relieve the buzzing sound. Just want to make sure I don't need more parts like a valve, or solenoid, etc.

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner past midnight.

After you have replaced the harness. Let me know what issues remain and if there are trouble codes stored?
