Customer Question

I am replacing the tailgate torsion bar in my 2008 f350 and I need to replace the pinch block that retains the non pivot side of the torsion bar. My local Ford dealer can't find the part I need. I need the torsion bar retainer and the two bolts that hold it in place. Can you help?
JA: Are you fixing your F350 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes I am fixing it myself. The pinch block was rusted so bad I could not loosen the bolt. I had to cut the torsion bar and grind off the bolt heads and punch them out. I have the torsion bar out and a new one ready to go in but the torsion bar retainer is not reusable. I have searched the intern for a part number for the retainer but all I can find is paten information.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
