My 99 f150 v6 is overheating after a few miles. I'll pull

Customer Question

My 99 f150 v6 is overheating after a few miles. I'll pull over, turn the engine off for a couple of minutes and it'll be fine till after a few milesthen does it again. Someone told me it sounds like the temperature sensor.
JA: Have you checked the connectors on the sensor itself? It's important that they not be loose or corroded.
Customer: I've tried to locate it but other forums are not clear
JA: Are you fixing your F150 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I plan to, I'm just asking if that may be the cause or if I should look elsewhere.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No
