My check engine light came on. My local Ford dealer said it

This answer was rated:

My check engine light came on. My local Ford dealer said it was bad EGT sensors. Are these difficult to replace, they want over $900 to do it. Its a 2009 Ford F250 Super Duty
JA: Does the light stay on, or does it blink?
Customer: The check engine light stays on
JA: Are you fixing your F-250 Super Duty yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have not tried anything yet. I just got the DTC codes P2080 on my diagnostic tool
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: p2080 exhaust gas temperature sensor, circuit range/performance sensor was what the code read

The EGR temperature sensors are 4.5 hours labor to replace, so a fairly big job and does require some speciality tools for the job.
