2010 F-150 Super Crew. Center dash above stereo is an LED screen that says 'Built Ford Tough' all the time. Is this controllable?
JA: Is this an aftermarket stereo, or did it come with the car?
Customer: I just bought it and it has an aftermarket stereo. The screen I am referring to is above the radio console
JA: Are you fixing your F150 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Looking in the manual. It doesn't show anything related to this screen
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Sorry, I had other issues to deal with. I'm still interested to see if that led display can be turned off. The stereo is an aftermarket Pioneer AVIC that was likely installed when the car was still new.Thanks.TL

You just want to know how to disable the screen so its black?

You should be able to just unplug the FDIM to make it inoperable using the link below.
