About 2-3 times a year our 2009 Taurus will stall out after

Customer Question

About 2-3 times a year our 2009 Taurus will stall out after going up a hill and slowing down to make a left turn. My wife has had to put the car in neutral to complete the turn and restart the car.
JA: Are you fixing your Taurus yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: My wife took the car into our dealer 1-2 years ago but they did not do anything. They were unable to duplicate the problem and so did nothing.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner past midnight.

Is this the only scenario that the stall occurs in?

Any harsh shifting ever noticed in this scenario when it has and has not stalled?
