I cannot seem to start the car. It had been sitting for

Customer Question

I cannot seem to start the car. It had been sitting for probably 6 months. The fob would not open the doors. I opened by key & when turning the ingition, there was absolutely no power. I jumpered the battery and started the car. Ran if for an hour thinking possibly the battery was dead, although it did not act that way. There was no corrosion on the battery posts and the battery is new. I turned off the car and immediately I had no power and could not start it. Is this a security system over ride thing? could it be the battery in the key?
JA: Is the power loss consistent, or does it fluctuate?
Customer: There is just no power at all. None what so ever.
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: Fusion 2009, not sure of the model, my mothers car.
JA: Are you fixing your Fusion yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No, hadn't planned to, but it feels like it must be something simple.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: The car has been in an underground parkade so it has been at ideal environmental condidtions since last run.
