Customer Question

I have a 2004 Ford Thunderbird wit 13k miles on it. I bougth it a year ago. Lately The release lever to take it out of park is stuck. I can put it in nutrual and start it up, BUT then the brake lights nor cruise control work. Please help the mechanic can't find the problem. Thanks
JA: While using the cruise control can you accelerate or decelerate? Have you checked the fuses?
Customer: YES an changed the brake light bulbs.
JA: Are you fixing your Thunderbird yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: A good company here. They took it apart, but Ford doesn't make the part in the grear box, now they think it might be the brake switch, the odd thing is the brake lights and cruise control are tied with it.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No
