I replaced the battery in my 2007 ford expedition and now

the alarm thing will not...
I replaced the battery in my 2007 ford expedition and now the alarm thing will not allow it to start
JA: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Customer: yes have replaced the battery and terminal connections are clean
JA: Are you fixing your Expedition yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: well we have turn the iginition switch 15 times until the door locks unlock and lock by them selves and that didn't work...also have tried switching from park to drive then trying to crank...
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no thanks just would appreciate some help

You need to have it scanned with a ford scanner or equivalent and read the fault codes from the anti theft modules and see what is failing ,is it the key, the receiver antenna ,the door switch ,hood switch ,security module etc...

You can try the below procedure if you have not already

Master reset Procedure

1- Disconnect Battery Cables ( Negative & Positive Cables )

2- Hold cables Together for 60 secs ,then let go

3- Wait 15 minutes

4- Make sure all doors are closed

5- Reconnect battery Cables

6- Lock & unlock the vehicles using the key from driver door side (if you have a key fob with no blade key, just lock & unlock using the key fob buttons)

7- Enter the vehicle and attempt to start

unfortunately the security module have to send authorization to car computer to initiate start up

you can not bypass it ,there is no fuse or relay that we can pull to disconnect it.

now the car think somebody stealing and the computer want allow it

i wish i had a better answer for you

a lot of time the key is an issue or one the switches but with out a scan you can tell.

I m sorry you having that issue
