Customer Question

wont start just cleaned all term. engaged key and nothing. drops out about 1/2 the dash lights but doesn't turn over.
JA: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: yup and one should not keep the other from working
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: 2000 expedition 2wd 4.6lt
JA: Are you fixing your Expedition yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes, cleaned and checked all term. for corrosion and continuity everything checks out but still will not turn over I've had this issue in the past and a good cleaning did the trick
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: cant think of anything

Hi. Likely you have a lot of corrosion under the plastic of positive battery cable near the battery. If you could, verify that the start will actually turn the engine over by manually applying power and ground to the starter with a jumper pack or some jumper cables.
