99 ranger 4wd..cant get 4wd to work. put manual hubs on it, changed shift motor, changed 4wd switch, changed transfer case module. checked all fuses..good. no 12 v power to shift motor.
JA: Most vehicles have two fuse panels. Have you located both?

JA: Are you fixing your Ranger yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes..all of the above
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

check the fuses again. yiu have to be missing something. either that or there an open wire somewhere

Fuses are good. 4wd lights are flashing and if I disconnect and reconnect battery..4wd will engage one time.

disconnect and test "T-case shift relay module" behind GEM. Relay module is supposed to show 80-140 ohms between two pins,

start poking around up under the dash. where the wires go from the main wiring harness down under the carpet and to the*****module behind the seat.

the green wire and white/purple wire might be frayed at the plug. open the wiring harness and check that the green and white/purple wire arent melted together.

Thanks for helping David, but I think I'm better off trying to fix it myself. I can't go back and forth every 15 or 20 minutes. I have already replaced that t-relay and no fix and ohms are within parameter. Have a good evening. I will check the wiring.

Im a former mechanic and know this problem is common in Rangers. There are all types of discussions on You tube, google, and forums. Seems like no fix, everyone is guessing. I thought justanswer might have a more definitive fix.
