sometimes stalls at stop lights..rpm will surge a bit and then it will die.restarts easily. does not happen every time, but becoming more regular . it will light up check engine light ,but will go off before i can get it checked.

Customer: only changed plugs, was going to buy a scanner when i find out which one to get , i can do the work if not too major , i also have no problem to have a mech

120000 ...check engine light comes on for an hour or so and goes off until this happens a couple more times and this all repeats,.

Thank you. I would recommend doing this if possible. If you do not have your own scan tool you can take the vehicle to most auto parts stores and they can scan the computer for codes. If you bring me the codes it can help. Most of the time this is due to a dirty throttle body or a failing crank sensor. I usually clean out the throttle body first to see if it helps as this will occur if there is debris build up on the throttle plate and inside of the throttle bore.
