JA: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?

The 1992 F350 does not have a selector valve under the vehicle. The pumps are controlled by the switch on the dash. It switches power to the fuel pump selected.

See the diagram below. Either the selector switch on the dash is the problem or the tank your switching to has a bad fuel pump.
