Hello, real person here and not a computer generated response like you just went through. Sorry about that. We are trying to get the website administrators to fix that or get rid of it.

But the keyless entry door code can be obtained 2 ways. One is to have a Ford dealership technician get the code from the VSM (Vehicle Security Module) which is mounted under the passenger side of the dash behind the glove box on the far right side. You can also look on the VSM and look for the 5 digit code printed on a decal on the VSM. You will have to fully open the glove box to where it opens to the floor to see it.

I dropped down the glove bock and saw nothing like that back, one similar but its code had letters.
this is a 2004 Ford Expedition. Also what if the code was changed??
Expert:  A. Penland replied 1 year ago.

The factory code stays with the vehicle and stored in the VSM. It will stay there no matter how manual times the personal code was changed. The factory one is permanent.
