Customer Question

It stalls and won't restart. I'm sure it is a fuel problem.
JA: Is the check engine light on? Does the car stall at idle or when driving?
Customer: I don't see a check engine light but it started running a little rough then died. Sometimes it will restart for a moment then die, not to restart again. I tried some start fluid and it would start for a second
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: 1995 Ford Thunderbird V-8
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I've pulled off the air intake to the fuel injection and tried the fuel start liquid.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: not that I know of. The car is 21 years old and has about 80,000 miles. I have never changed the fuel filter.

You may want to inspect and change the fuel filter. It may also have a bad fuel pump in the fuel tank. There is a test port on the passenger side of the intake manifold for the fuel system. It looks like a tire valve stem. Push the needle valve down and see if you get a large spray of fuel.
