Customer Question

Hi Mike, I had my E-350 motorhome at camping world, because the cold air comes through the defrosters not the dash
JA: Have you checked the coolant level? Have you checked for a leak in the radiator?
Customer: The AC air is blowing thru the defroster vents.
JA: What year is your E350?
Customer: I'm told a rodent took a bite out of a vacuum hose on the passenger side at a junction for 4 vac hoses?
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I know how to splice a vacuum line BUT I CAN'T FIND IT?!
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: this is all I know Thank you

hello yes . If you lose the vacuum supply for the HVAC control in the dash of your vehicle it automatically defaults to Defrost . there is a vacuum hose from the engine that runs through the firewall to run and supply the HVAC control head . A loss of vacuum due to a cut or chewed supply hose will cause your issue . . You will need to locate the leak and repair the cut or chewed vacuum hose .
