Customer: dies for my wife, won't die for the dealer
JA: What year is your Ford?
Customer: 2006 escape hybrid
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: it's at the dealer now, he can't figure it out, can't make it fail

P1A10 - Hybrid Powertrain Control Module - Battery Disabled

Description: This is an informational DTC and it can be set as a result of the vehicle operating with the engine disabled, the vehicle operating in the NEUTRAL for an extended period of time, or the vehicle operating with a traction battery concern.

Possible Causes:

  • Powertrain concern
  • Traction battery control module (TBCM) communications concern
  • Traction battery system concern
  • Transmission is in NEUTRAL for an extended period of time while the vehicle is enabled

P0562 (PCM) - System Voltage Low

Description: This DTC is set when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects low system voltage.

Possible Causes:

  • Power to PCM concern.
  • Battery or charging system concern.

P0A27 (TBCM) - Hybrid Battery Power Off Circuit


Possible Causes:

  • Damaged PCM
  • Damaged TBCM
