Overheating issue on 2007 Ford Edge. Cooling fans not

Customer Question

Overheating issue on 2007 Ford Edge. Cooling fans not turning on. Temp gauge hits 1/2 way within 1 mile. Is it the fans, coolant sensor or PCM?
JA: Have you checked the coolant? Have you checked for a leak in the cooling system?
Customer: Old coolant flushed, new coolant added, not leaks. Coolant level holding
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes. Flushed system, added new coolant. thinking of replacing fan unit or coolant sensor. Wories me it could be PCM
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Could it be the PCM?
