Hello I will help you with your question,

Has this system been converted to R134a refrigerant? It started life as an R12 system that has different fittings

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
not sure as we can only find a single port. Looks like the down side may have to accessed front inside the compartment. The port we can see seems to have been replaced as it's not as worn or as old as the rest of the parts. The vehicle was bought used recently and this is the first time we've needed the ac

Can you post a picture of the one you can find?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Unfortunately I'm not at the vehicle right now. Had to leave the campground for wifi. I can post it when I get back to it if that works

That would be fine, once I know what you have I can advise you further. I am here most of the time so post back to this thread when you can.

Just to be clear this is the vehicle AC not an add on unit? Conversion means this is a E250 0r 150?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
correct. It's for the vehicle AC and not the camper portion

Thanks, ***** *****'t need anything more. Find the can accumulator mounted next to the evaporator box on the firewall and on the top should be your other fitting. It has the large line fittings on the top. It will have a pressure switch screwed to the top of the can. Follow the large line to find the other valve. It runs from the accumulator to the compressor.

This has been converted to R134a

The port should be about 6 inches along the line from the accumulator.

Let me know if you find it
