1998 ranger died twice while driving yesterday but

1998 ranger died twice while driving yesterday but restarted , then died today and won't start. no signal is going to the fuel pump relay when key is on . i bypassed the relay ,tested at 50 psi . Jumper in place ,test gage in place tried to start it , still no good.Timing belt is good. inertia switch checks out good . Also I have NO check engine light at all , not even while cranking.
