Customer Question

2005 Ford Five Hundred, no crank no start
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: The battery is new - headlights, radio and cluster lights all come on. I must add that the transmission was replaced a few months ago. The problem started afterwards (not soon afterwards and may be coincidental).
JA: What is the model of your '05 Ford?
Customer: Five Hundred
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I would like to take it someplace reputable in my area but I want to be educated as some shops take advantage of women. I think that was the case with the transmission.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: The alternator was replaced about 6 months ago - lost all power while my daughter was driving. A shop diagnosed and replaced the alternator.
