F350 95 7.3 every since wash under side engine it seem like starter weak like dead battery both battery are new today stil act the same is there a fuse relay that I could have blow
JA: How old is the battery? Have you checked the battery gauge on the dash?
Customer: Just today
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: 1995 f350 diesel turbo battery both replaced new yesterday. We power washed the undercarriage and it seems the starter doesn't work as fast now. Engine takes long time to start
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: New batteries. Acts like the starter is not getting full juice.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Ford Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello, do you have a multi meter? Do you know how old the starter is?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I think we have put about 60,000 miles on it. Half the age of the truck. We do have multimeter.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's over 12 volts before solenoid and about 6-9 v after solenoid when trying to start truck
Expert:  James replied 1 year ago.
On the fire wall solenoid?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I know where the solenoid is on the firewall what do I need to do replace it because the other readings were at the starter itself off solenoid Bendix whatever you want to call
Expert:  James replied 1 year ago.
Ok if you are getting 9v you either have a bad positive cable or bad firewall solenoid. Test the firewall solenoid and see if you get 12v on the solenoid. If you do the cable between the battery and starter.
