Customer Question

Hi, 2009 ford 6.0 Ambulance pkg. Intermittent no start. Cranks Ok. Check engine light has code of P2614. Found a few cases on line indicates it's a cam sensor open circuit issue. Is this my issue? Diagnosing so I can schedule it with the local ford dealer, wanted to make a some what of an educated appointment when I called them.
JA: Does the light stay on, or does it blink?
Customer: stays on
JA: What is the model of your '09 Ford?
Customer: E450 with ambulance package
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Nope, just wanted to give the dealer the heads up to reduce their diagnostic time.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Ford Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello, this is usually a failing camshaft sensor. The camshaft sensors fail more then the wiring on this particular vehicle.
