I have a 96 ford and the front tank is losing gas through

Customer Question

I have a 96 ford and the front tank is losing gas through the fill cap. I was running the rear tank. When I parked at the house I noticed it was leaking. What should I do to stop it.
JA: What part of the car is the leak coming from? What color is the fluid?
Customer: It is gasoline from the front gas tank. Through the fill hose.
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: 1996 f_150
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I just want to know how I can stop the leak
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: I was running on the rear tank. The leak is from the front tank.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Ford Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

When you are running the truck on the rear tank, the front tank is filling up and fuel is coming out where the gas cap is on the filler neck on the front fuel tank?
