HAve F150 1999 extreme missing when I accelerate. Doesn't shift until3000+ rpms.
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you checked the fuel filters?
Customer: Transmission original have not check fuel filter. Runs well at high speeds but when you go up hill it won't downshift. And have to keep it out of overdrive.
JA: What is the model of your '99 Ford?
Customer: F150 v8. 4.6L

sorry my internet connection was acting crazy i was just going by where you said it wouldnt downshift but yes it is possible that you have a vacuum leak is it missing at idle

thats going to be your first step any parts store will do it for you for free but the code will narrow down where the miss is at i can guess at all you would like but with out the code it is just a guess
