I have a 2005 F250 SD 5.4 liter, and I'm getting a P0174

Customer Question

I have a 2005 F250 SD 5.4 liter, and I'm getting a P0174 bank 2 fault. I replaced the Pcv hose today.
I drove about 3 hours and the check engine light came back on.
I went to Auto Zone and have the same problem. I asked about acquiring a PVC valve and they told me I needed to purchase the entire valve cover and the Pcv valve must be inside.
Can I replace the Pcv valve and where the is it?

good evening my name is ***** ***** I will assist

as usual, auto zone is wrong. you do not need the valve cover.

more than that, it is not th pcv. that is common to both sides of the motor. the 174 is bank 2 lean only. I would suspect a vacuum leak somewhere on or in the intake manifold. very common for intake manifold gasket to be bad causing this code. there other possibilities but without setting the 171 along with the 174, it is just limited to the driver side of the engine.
