I have a 2006 Ford 500 and am having issues with the a/c

Customer Question

I have a 2006 Ford 500 and am having issues with the a/c blower. The first problem was if u had the blower on high it would automatically shut the air off. I would just keep it on a lower level and no problems. Now it is cutting off at any blower speed. If u cut the a/c off at that point and turn it back on it will usually come back on. Can u diagnosis this problem?

Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today.

I dont have the vehicle so the answer is NO. I cannot diagnose it. I can help you diagnose it if you have the tools and willingness. Do you?

Or I can take a well educated guess which is probably right but I cant swear by it without testing.

I will take the educated guess

Its most likely the blower motor speed controller.

Let me know if you need anything further and please be sure to rate my service or I will not get credit for helping you. Thanks

Is this the same as the resistor?
Expert:  Wayne Crawford replied 1 year ago.

Some people may refer to it as a blower motor resistor.
