My trunk latch seems to be jarred - cannot open the trunk

Customer Question

my trunk latch seems to be jarred - cannot open the trunk and the inside lights will not go off - 2003 Ford Escape
JA: Has the battery died recently?
Customer: No,
JA: What year is your Escape?
Customer: 2003
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have read online to unlock with remote key - two step unlock front door first then within 3 sec click to unlock rest
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: the latch seems to be in a loose state - not completely closed, cannot unlock the rear glass window either
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Ford Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

is it possible to unlatch from inside? I would have to pull seats down and try and get inside which I don't want to do unless that would work!
