04 ,6.0 .. cooling fan engaged all time ..sapping power and not locked up can spin with hand when mtr stopped

Customer: changed engine about 20k miles back.. some else was driving it. not sue when fan stopped disengaging.. not sure if used original fan was installed or fan that came with motor

Customer: ck to see if locked... neg.. unplugged change

Customer: only other worked done was clean and resore oil circulation because wrong oil filter used in error causing low oil pressure preventing start up

You haven't blown any money I'm still hear. There are many people to assist. If you unplug it and the fan disengages there is an electrical concern. If the fan locks up while being unplugged then the fan clutch is bad.

The fan will always turn while the engine is running but at a musch slower speed. When this fan engages it almost sounds like an airplane taking off. They are very loud when the hood is open.

Also if you test for engine codes fan clutches will usually set a p0528 code
