Customer Question
I am working on a 2003 F350 with a 5.4L 2v motor which I suspect jumped time by a tooth. All of my research indicates the motor IS an interference motor and could crash a piston into the valve in an "out of time" situation. Your answer in the above referenced thread seems to indicate otherwise.
Can you please clarify?

Hello and thank you for your question,Eric, According to Ford damage will occur if the timing chain is off on the 2003 5.4 engine. See the factory replacement steps in the link below which clearly state this. Copy and paste the link to your browser to open and view the steps.
