I have a similar issue to many other 2007 Ford Escape

Customer Question

I have a similar issue to many other 2007 Ford Escape owners.
My alarm is activating without outside influences. mostly occurs between the hours of 10 AM and 5 PM. One major difference to many of the other folks is that I am not having any 'Door Ajar' issues, no indicator light, nor a dome light problem.

Hi. most common on the escape to cause this concern is the hood switch. There is a switch under the hood that the hood hits when it closes. A lot of times this switch is mis adjusted or is bad. First thing you should try is disconnecting the switch and see if the alarm stops going off.
