1996 Ranger automatic 4L. 40% loss in gas mileage. engine can run rough after starting when warm. even stall. Performance on road is good.

Please just list what failed ignition components would lead to reduce gas mileage but still leave the on road performance at what might be called normal ie oxygen sensor,spark advance,etc
