97 ford van e-150 heater repair. have no heat, radiator

Customer Question

97 ford van e-150 heater repair. have no heat, radiator coolant, thermostat, fan speeds all okay. seems as tho the heater/ac door transition isn't working altho transition from floor to dash vents operates. noticed last fall a/c would vary from floor to dash vents all by itself as if a possible electronic problem might be occurring.

There is an electrical motor that move the temperature blend door to control the temperature set by the driver oin the AC control panel. We have seen many problems with them failing in the cold or heat position.

Below are directions to replace it. They state to remove the dash. But if you have a good set of tools, you can get it from under the dash on the passenger side of the dash.
