Customer: 2008 6 cyl been working good .then suddenly reved out in 3rd if I hold it in 3rd with light throttle .fine but slips when give it power . all other gears ok

Thanks, ***** ***** there is internal mechanical failure. Electrical can not cause slipping. This transmission will need to be removed and overhauled to address the damaged clutch steel and friction plates and piston seals causing it to leak pressure and not hold the clutch pack tight enough.
