Hello I will help you with your question,
Let me know if you need help with the colors
The abbreviations are standard but if you need the text to table let me know
The datalink connector is a 16 pin standard size and shape. Are you seeing another connector that has been cut?
That shows the location of the datalink connector.
Let me know what you are seeing or post a picture of it please
Maybe it is the trailer brake connection?
Can you post a picture of what you are seeing?
Can you find the real data link connector and verify that it as I posted above?
OK, then you do have the position of the 8 wires as shown in the first diagram I posted above and the colors match those?
What color are the two left over wires?
Do you have 2 light blue/yellow? One is the ground in pin 5.
Do all the other colors match up?
So you do have two lb/y wires?
You also have 2 violet wires?
And two lb/white wires?
Let me know what you are seeing so I can help. These wires go to specific places and have different functions so they have to be correct or you can fry a computer.
Please help me to help you by responding to the questions I am asking
Ok, lets do the ones you do know and then work on the leftovers.
One of the violet runs to the PCM and the other runs to the rest of the computers. The one that goes to splice 281 in the harness near the connector location is the violet that goes into pin cavity 3 >click here<
The other violet goes to 13
The light blue/white wire that has 12 volts goes to pin 16
The other light blue/white goes to pin 7
The pink/green is 14
The white/green is 6
Black is pin 4
Light blue/yellow that is grounded is pin 5
I count 10 wires in your list above, the brown and the blue/pink are the only ones I don't have a location for correct? I don't think they go to the data link connector as they are not shown in the wiring diagram. They could be for another connector so I will look to see what is in the area but they are not used in the data connector.
